Who Are The Vitals?
We are a family of musicians who came together from O'ahu, Hawaii. Our brand of reggae music is a mix of lovers rock, roots, conscious, and fun tunes that are as diverse as the members of the band. Each of us has grown up in Hawaii's reggae industry but we impart our own influences from all types of music, including R&B, reggae, funk, soul, rap, EDM, island reggae, and roots music.
Established in 2013, we have retained the majority of our original members, including Keahi Piiohia, Cyd Kamakea, Ata Boy Rosa, and Brandon Berinobis. The newest member of the vocal team, Asaiah "the Maad King" Scott, joined the team during the summer of 2018 after the exit of Nainoa Heffernan who is concentrating on his beautiful family. Our steady backline with Guy Heresa, Darin Garcia, and Lapana Ieriko help us to remember that the collective is so much more than concentrating on the front line.
The release of our EP in 2014 contained our first breakout hit "Fake Lover" which established their ability to reach Hawai'i's reggae listeners. Other songs on the EP, including "Natural Woman" and "Kahalu'u's Crying" also enjoyed local radio airplay and showcased the diversity of our teams abilities. Since then, we have released a full-length album and a second EP, and have been bless to showcase collaborations with "Lion Fiyah", Bo Napoleon. Our latest single "Rock and Sway" features a heavy collab with Mahkess and Kanakamon of Kapu System.
As a band, our goal is to continue to deliver original music that our family, friends, and fans can continue to relate to! Find us on Instagram (@thevitals808) and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/thevitalsreggae). For information on booking and events, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
